What is the ATM2?

The ATM2 is a system that holds a patient in a pain-free standing postiion while s/he performs exercises that were painful when not in the ATM2.

During the exercises, the central nervous system "memorizes" the pain-free movements, so that when patients are off the unit, they're able to perform the movement without pain and with better range of motion. It gets results very fast, and I love using it with patients when tests show that it would benefit them.

Why do I need the ATM2?

If you have back or neck pain on movement, or if you want better performance in sports, I recommend coming into my office for a consultation and a few tests, to determine if you can be helped by treatment on the ATM2. The ATM2 works very well on many patients, and works magic on some.

The ATM2 and Golfers

In today's game, distance is king. Increasing distance comes from increased flexibility and rotation. Golfers start to tighten up at an early age, and need an effective way to condition their core muscles, increase flexibility, and increase coordinated movement throughout their spine. Stretching and conditioning your spine is not painful or strenuous on the ATM2, nor is it complicated.

Golfweek magazine recently had an article in the May 10, 2008 issue on the benefits to golfers by training on the ATM2. Former World Long Drive champions Eric Jones and Gerry James use the ATM in their training. James said he improved his shoulder turn by 20 percent to 25 percent. Jones said he has improved his range of motion without stress or strain, by training on the ATM system.

The ATM2 and other Athletes

The ATM2 is a fantastic tool to increase core power and flexibility, and as such, increases athletic performance measurably.

It is used by professional teams for conditioning and rehab, including the Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL), the Phoenix Coyotes (NHL), the U.S. Olympic Training Center, and the Arsenal (British Soccer Team), among others.
